Feeding Therapy
What is treated in Feeding Therapy?
Oral-motor weakness
Decreased sensation or awareness in the mouth
Difficulties chewing
Bottle, straw, or cup use
Challenging mealtime behaviors
Excessive drooling
Mild - severe pediatric dysphagia (difficulties swallowing)
G-tube transitioning
Picky eating

A 60 minute comprehensive evaluation consisting of a parent interview, case history review, formal testing, oral motor exam, and a mealtime observation.

If therapy is recommended, home or school-based 30-45 minute individualized therapy sessions 1-2x per week will be completed.

Communication and engagement with the parents, caregivers, and/or other professionals in your child’s daily life will be provided to ensure carryover and progression of skills.
